Street ball Classic set in Dillon this Sunday

The Dillon Wellness Center will be the place to be Sunday for the Summer Celebrity Street ball Classic.

Hustle Up, KLUX and Jumps are presenting the traveling basketball show this weekend. Friday night the group is in Orangeburg, in the Orangeburg-Wilkerson High School, with game time at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, they will be in Dillon at the Wellness Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. and game time is 5 p.m. Some have called the popular street ball players the “Generation-X Harlem Globetrotters.“

The basketball show features “one of the hottest street ball payers in the world,“ Hot sauce,“ and several others, with such “character” names as Sypda, 50, Highrizer, Airbama, Big Swoal and Pat Da Rock. At half-time, gospel artist Kendra Smith of Dillon and the Dillon High School Band will perform. The event is a fundraiser for Smith and the band and tickets are $13 in advance and will be $18 at the door.
