April concert to help raise money for Paws to the Rescue
The Carolina Entertainment Complex will be having a day of entertainment to raise money for Marion County’s Animal Shelter, managed by the non-profit Paws to the Rescue.

Carolina Entertainment Complex on U.S. Highway 501 in Marion County will be having a concert on April 4 to raise money for Paws to the Rescue. Paws to the Rescue runs the Marion County Animal Shelter and funds are always needed, John Gallo, managing partner at the complex, said, to better care for the animals. Gallo wa instrumental this winter in helping to keep the animals, sheltered in a renovated barn, warm and dry.
The Complex is presenting the fundraiser and Gallo said the event will have something for all ages. Tickets are $10, plus ticketing fee and tax. In addition to Southern Blue, “Sequoyah Prep School” of Florence will be featured at the concert and Myrtle Beach’s “Six Stooges” will be performing. Gallo said “Gabbie Rae,” (the little girl with the big voice) will be performing two sets, one as “Hanna Montana” and one as herself.
After the bands perform, “D.J. Ray Ray” from Columbia will play host to karaoke. “You can be part of the show and win a chance to sing on the big stage,” Gallo said, complete with all the sound and lights! Children nine and under are free and gates will open at 4:30 p.m., with happy hour from 5-7 p.m., featuring two-for-one food and beverage specials. On site camping is available and campers with horses are welcome, Gallo said, adding that folks should “Help put some money in the ‘kitty’ for the puppies!”

For a donation of $10, your name will be entered into a drawing.
The drawing will be held the night of the show and you will perform one song.
