HARTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina Agricultural Council is hosting its fall tour, with stops scheduled at a number of companies and sites.

Participants are meeting in Cayce on Wednesday and taking a bus to Hartsville, where they’ll take tours of the Goldleaf Seed Co. and Pine Land Co.

They’ll also see the Kalmia Gardens of Coker College and the Coker Farms National Historic Landmark.

The landmark’s Web site says exhibits there are housed in a replica of the site’s original dairy barn and show how Coker Experimental Farms developed cotton breeding program and depict the company’s impact on agriculture.
