N.C. woman accused of shooting vehicle

A North Carolina woman was arrested Thursday morning after police said she shot her vehicle, according to Dillon police reports.
Police initially responded to a call about 930 a.m. about a woman firing shots at passing vehicles near the southbound Interstate 95 ramp, according to the incident report. When they arrived near the scene, they saw a woman matching the callers’ description walking from the BP gasoline station on Radford Boulevard with a gasoline jug in her hand.
The woman was arrested after officers found a .380 pistol on the front seat of her vehicle and bullet holes in the hood, according to the report.
Chalonda Shantel Delaney, 32, of St. Pauls, is charged with discharging a firearm in city limits and violating the state’s handgun law, according to the report.
