Myrtle Beach man faces child molestation charges

A Myrtle Beach man was arrested Wednesday after deputies said he molested two children, including one to whom he is related, Darlington County Sheriff’s Capt. Andy Locklair said.

David Lampley, 57, was arrested in Myrtle Beach by U.S. Marshals and is charged with two counts of lewd act on a minor, two counts of indecent exposure and a count of incest, Locklair said.

Deputies allege the suspect fondled the victims and exposed himself to them several times over a period of more than six years. The sheriff’s office investigation began after the victims contacted deputies July 28, Locklair said.

Lampley remains in custody at the Darlington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
