This is proof that traffic enforcement has an impact beyond mere ticket writing. Lives are saved by deterring bad behavior on the highways, which, incidentally, are the site of many thousands more unnecessary deaths than all other crimes - to include homicides - combined. Don’t believe the lie some posters here might tell you that police ought to be out catching drug dealers instead of writing tickets. Proactive enforcement measure require a multi-disciplinary effort to detect and deter crimes, of which traffic enforcement is a legitimate part. How else than on our public thoroughfares do drug dealers move themselves & thier product around? Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was pulled over for a vehicle license violation. This case is an example as much as that case was of alertness and attention to detail, so hats off to the officers for doing their jobs in a thorough and effective manner!
