Two Darlington men were arrested Wednesday after an off-duty law enforcement agent saw them stealing a utility trailer, Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said.

Philip Rodgers,20, and Charles Kevin Wilkes,32, both of 1816 Dingo Lane are each charged in connection with the incident, Raines said.

It happened Wednesday afternoon when a off-duty State Law Enforcement Division Agent saw two people taking the utility trailer from a home on the 1500 block of Jackson Avenue.

The SLED agent followed the two men and called Florence Police who responded and arrested the two men on the 500 block of Coit Street.

The utility trailer was recovered.
