Officers arrested five teens and are searching for two more in connection with an Oct. 31 assault they believe is gang-related, Marion Police Lt. Farmer Blue said.

Police have warrants for the arrest of 18-year-olds Anthony McCormick and Vershawn Steele, both of Marion, in connection with the incident.

It happened at about 1 a.m. on Manning Street when a 19-year-old man and his younger brother were walking away from a party, he said.

Police said that’s when 10 to 15 people jumped out and began assaulting the two victims.

Both were taken to an area hospital and treated for their injuries.

Marion residents Demetrik White, Landric Bethea, Author Kennie, Justin Eugene Mason, all 17, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested and charged with lynching, Blue said.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police department at (843) 423-8616 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.

Ever watch Cops, most of these guys act all tough until they get cuffed and tossed into the back of a cruiser, then they cry like little babies.

I must make the gang members feel like real men to have to have 10-15 people to help them attack 2 people.  What a bunch of cowards these gang members are.  Why is society tolerating these idiots.
