Marion County’s Board of Zoning Appeals to meet, have public hearing

The next meeting of the Marion County Board of Zoning Appeals will be at 7 p.m. on June 25 in the Marion County Administration Building. A public hearing has been scheduled to consider the request of Don R. Case for a permit to operate a junk or salvage yard on his Highway 576 property between Mill Street and Catfish Creek, near Marion.

In addition, Andrew Turbeville has requested a variance to the setback requirements for a cell tower on Alice Road in Centenary.

Case and Turbeville are expected to present their cases, according to Marion County Board of Zoning Appeals Senior planner Levonne Powell. Powell can be contacted at or (843) 423-8238, ext. 116.
