12th Circuit Court Judge Ralph King Anderson Jr. postponed a bond hearing Monday until November for a man accused of participating in a double slaying case.
Fonnelze Travis Delaine, 26, of 2045 Belhaven Drive, Darlington, is charged with being an accessory before the fact of a murder, according to Florence County Sheriff’s Office reports. He is pleading not guilty.
Two Florence men also are charged in connection with the Sept. 1 shooting deaths of 32-year-old Talya Poston and 26-year-old Billy L. Hall of Florence.
Montez Myhell Barker, 25, of 1620 Pine St. Ext. and Laross Antonio Graham, 27, of 3020 Dawn St. are charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Barker also is charged with resisting arrest, Florence County Detention Center booking reports show.
Barker is accused of setting one victim’s vehicle on fire in attempt to conceal the crime and charged with third-degree arson. Although the judge set a $25,000 surety bond for Barker on Sept. 30, he will remain incarcerated because of the two counts of murder he faces in the case, Florence County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Nunn said.
Soon after the deaths, deputies found Poston’s green Ford Explorer parked off of First Street in east Florence and burned nearly down to its frame.
Investigators say Barker set Poston’s vehicle on fire after she and Hall were slain and left on Isaiah Street, a dirt road just off of Flowers Road near Pamplico Highway.
Graham was arrested near Pine Street in Florence after deputies, acting on tips, had been searching the area for him the afternoon of Sept. 11, Nunn said. Barker was arrested that same night near Gaillard and Kershaw streets in Florence.
Both Graham and Barker have criminal records, according to State Law Enforcement Division reports.
Delaine was arrested the night of Sept. 16 off Hoffmeyer Road, near the Florence-Darlington County line, by Florence and Darlington county sheriff’s deputies, SLED agents and U.S. Marshals.
Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone previously said he thinks the slayings were drug-related. During the search for Delaine, deputies confiscated drugs, drug paraphernalia and made two drug-related arrests that aren’t linked to the deaths.
Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements III said it is unclear whether the two lawyers who represented Delaine on drug charges will represent him in the double slaying case.
Clements also said he’s unsure whether Delaine will qualify for a court-appointed attorney.
In court previously, Clements called the killings a “witness assasination case,” and said he thought the victims may have been witnesses to another crime committed by the defendants.
Clements said if that could, in fact, be proven, the cases might rise to the standard of being death penalty cases.
Both Poston and Hall were well known in Florence and both were the children of local business owners.
The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation of the case. All three suspects remain in custody at the jail in Effingham.

Darlingtonsc, please do not attack anyone else for their grammar. Have you EVER heard of run-on sentence? Well, that garbage you typed was a 26 thought pile up.
Well, she can’t understand English either because if you read paragraph’s 14 & 15 it is uncleasr whether or not they will seek death penalty because they have to prove that they were witnesses to another crime. Maybe this is why the bond hearing has been postponed, until they find out. Surely they wouldn’t want to set bond, then he is realeased, and then find this out. As for sunshyn4-ever you need some light shed on you—more than sunlight though.
this is addressed to sunshyn: you have got on here and really showed people how ignorant and stupid you are not only do you have a low life standard but you can not spell well enough to post anything. you must know alot about this crime to get on here and speak or shall i say try to speak, maybe kenny boone should pull you in for questioning sounds to me like you know more than everyone else.
EGAD! sunshyn4ever should be held without bond for murdering the English language! So much for eubonics.
I do not know Sheriff Boone, but I do know that us Law abiding Taxpayers pay him to have a vendetta against MURDERING, LOWLIFE, WORTHLESS PIECIES OF S*** who threaten the safety of the public. PS: sunshyn, quit being a weak raciest pig that blames Whitey for your shortcomings. You are stupid because you did not want to learn, NOT because Whitey didn’t try to teach you.
Well Sunshyn4eva! I had to read your chicken scratch several times before i kind of understood it. What’s worse than MURDERING two witnesses? Only thing i can come up with is killing a child. I know the one of the victims in this case and yeah they were into drugs but whatever. That didn’t mean they needed to be shot to death and dumped on the side of the road does it? And your little rediculous statement saying, QUOTE “The only reason that they is seeking the dealth penaly because they was acussed for killing two white crack heads.“ Let’s not be rediculous, if two white people murdered two black people it would be a HATE crime, it would be on CNN, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be standing on the steps of the city-county complex ranting and raving. So don’t be rediculous. And as for Kenny Boone having a personal vendetta for him so what, if it’s even true which how you would know is beyond me, if he didn’t give the Sheriff a reason to arrest him then he would be ok. Any time a white law officer arrest a black person it’s harrassment or it’s personal. I hope you are literate enough to read this message, even though i know you won’t agree. But i have satisfaction knowing i’m right.
This case is ahsame. These people are facing a death penalty for assasition of a withmness. They are more people in this world that does worst thing then this. The only reason that they is seeking the dealth penaly because they was “acussed for killing two white crack heads. If this was a black on balack crime amd two black crack heads was killed this story willbe on the new one day and forgotten the next day. Kenny boone has a very personal vandanita forDelaine. and if this lady and mn was an witness to a crme and was a PO why was she out without the police following thm the police is also to blame for this trged also. Yeah they dead but oh well how many other people tht these peoplewas setting up. More than Fonelze had a motive to kill hem. But Kenny Boone probably didnt look into any other people that these people snitch on. If they didnt get kill the crackpipe was going to kill them anyways
One thing we know for sure, this case will be heard one day. They will not let it be postponed over and over for years till it can just be done away with.
