Forum on Florence Recreational Trails planned

The Eastern Carolina Community Foundation is sponsoring a community forum for the Florence Recreational Trails from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Central United Methodist Church, 225 W. Cheves St., Florence.

The forum is to bring together anyone interested in the growth of the trail system, to hear an update from the city of Florence and to discuss upcoming plans for the trail system.

A Florence Recreational Trails Fund, which will be used for new trails, has been established at the Eastern Carolina Community Foundation. Tax-deductible donations may be made to the fund at any time.

The Eastern Carolina Community Foundation is a public charity established in 2006 as a collection of charitable funds built with gifts and bequests from people in the eastern part of the Palmetto State. Its mission is to improve the quality of life in the Pee Dee of South Carolina through inspired philanthropy.
