Registration is free to all partner district educators and $10 for all other participants. Professional development recertification hours will be awarded to all participants.
In conjunction with the workshop, the Center of Excellence Service Committee is sponsoring a canned food drive. Participants are asked to bring their donations to benefit Harvest Hope Food Bank and Kid’s Café.
Francis Marion University’s School of Education was awarded a five-year grant that established on campus a Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty. The grant includes a component that supports staff development and in-service training for Pee Dee teachers.
The activities that are the subjects of this document are produced, in part, under grants from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Education under the auspices of the Improving Teacher Quality Higher Education and the Centers of Excellence Grants Programs.
