Florence woman arrested in connection with a shooting

Florence County Deputies arrested a woman in connection with an overnight shooting.
Lt Brett Camp said it happened Saturday night around 11 p.m. at mobile home on Jackie Proctor Road in Timmonsville.
Deputies said there was a domestic disturbance at the home and Jenny S. Smith stepped outside, fired one round into the air and then shot into the mobile home.
Several people were still inside and Lt. Camp said a 17 year-old female was shot in her ankle.
The victim was taken to the hospital and the bullet went completely through her ankle, Lt. Camp said.
Smith is charged with assault and battery of high and aggravated nature along with discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
