Florence Police are searching for two suspects in connection to a home invasion.

Two suspects broke in to a home on the 400 block of Darlington Street in Florence around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Maj. Carlos Raines, with the Florence Police Department said.

One victim told authorities he was lying on his couch, when he heard someone banging on his door.

Two black males kicked the door open. Both were wearing all white with black bandannas covering their mouths and noses. They also had stockings over their heads.

One suspect jumped on top of the man lying on the couch. The suspect forced his knee into the man’s chest, put a gun to his face and began screaming at him.
This victim reports that the other suspect went over to another victim, also a man, sitting at the computer.

The first victim says he believes that suspect assaulted the man at the computer.
Then the man on the couch threw the the first suspect off of him onto the floor. That’s when both suspects grabbed him, one by the throat, and threw him up against a bedroom door.

One suspect hit him in the head with a gun and said he would blow his brains out if he didn’t open the door.

The victim’s mother and boyfriend were in this bedroom. Somehow the suspect got the door partially open and stuck the gun inside the door.

Then the boyfriend pushed the gun back outside the door, shut the door, and blocked it with his foot so it could not be opened again.
That’s when the suspect fired a shot at the victim, who was still standing outside the bedroom door.

The victim says he moved his head and the bullet missed him.

The victim says he grabbed both suspects by the bandannas and pulled them down.

The suspects then ran out of the house and ran west on Darlington Street. The victim went to a neighbor’s door. That neighbor called the police.

The victim describe one suspect as a black male,  5’7 with an athletic build. The other suspect is also described as a black male, 6’0 with an athletic build.

If you have seen these suspects, please call the Florence Police Department.

I must agree that looking out for our fellow citizens has always been a good thing to do. Now more than ever. Being aware of your surroundings and what is going on politically is a must if we are going to survive as a free country.
There a lot of people trying in earnest to tear this country apart and doing a real good job of it. Please watch Glenn Beck’s show a 5:00 weekdays. He will tell you what others won’t tell you.

Dave? I’m reading your post and wish that somebody could change how fast our society is changing. Guess what though? Its’ gonna take each one of us to stand up and look the bull-dogs in the face and tell them enough is enough. I don’t like being a nose on my neighbors but now I feel that we should all be on the look out as little warriors against crime. That is what its gonna take!

Before anyone starts yelling about my words, His people, most of us know I stated it that way because that is what the man himself says. We see him constantly causing these breaks in our society with his words.
Again I am not pointing fingers just trying to understand and make sense out of all the violence against others we find ourselves faced with.

Taxpayertoo, you said, “I honestly am getting to the point where I want to lock me and my child up in a house, away from the world, work from home, do home schooling, and just not leave the house.  That is really sad.“
That is the truth, But please don’t do that to yourself. When [we] do, it gives them the power. I know how you feel and it is getting bad here. I just have to wonder, as bad as it is, does any of this go back to Robinson and his words and ideas? I believe with so many listening to him and believing on him, his words are weighty. Why doesn’t he address this to his people? Could it help? Not blaming this or the many other incidences on Robinson in any way, but I just wonder. Something happened to the people of Florence and this is getting beyond ridiculous!

How about that! My post wasn’t censured out. Thank you. I guess my pillows for pillars was a Freudian slip.

The old pilars of the community are indeed now the pillows since they are so soft! I agree with you Dave!  LISTEN TO 90.5 fm for some real truths

TaxpayerToo I feel your pain. This country as well as state, county and city are in deep trouble. It is my opinion and may others that greed the root of it all. The people that once were considered pillows of the community for the most part are self serving &^^%*^&*$. Now we have a congress and president that are bent on taking over everything they can and driving the country into submission. The end result could well lead to anarchy. If the citizens of this country don’t wake up and if the main stream media don’t wake up and start reporting what is really going on we are doomed to distribution. I am likely wasting my time writing this because it probably will not be seen. If you happen to see this please watch Glenn Beck’s show on Fox News weekdays at 5:00 PM. He will tell you about true things that main stream media do not print or talk about. And they should be ashamed of themselves for aiding abetting the destruction of America. Good luck to you and your daughter. Find a way to protect yourself.

I am very nervous with stories like this one. This is getting TOO close to my house. I’m a single mother with no money, nothing valuable in my home except my child. How does someone like me protect myself from things like this? I honestly am getting to the point where I want to lock me and my child up in a house, away from the world, work from home, do home schooling, and just not leave the house.  That is really sad.  I tell her I love her everyday I drop her off at school cause I do not know if she will come home that afternoon.  What kind a world is this turning into?

Also, I am not a religious person but I do believe in a higher power. I pray that this economy gets better so no one needs to steal to feed their families or hurt others to survive, that the police have an angel on their shoulder so they can help the innocent, and that god helps the politicians get some common sense on what is important and needed for the people today.

Everyone should pray for God to give the criminals the foresights that if they are going to do bad deeds, please just do not hurt anyone along the way. I don’t care about the material things.

Not to worry dear. When the hoods come calling, just say to them, “excuse me, time out, i have to load my gun.“

I hope you don’t have to use it either, but one of my favorite adages is, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. That applies to a lot of things, not just personnel protection.
