Florence County Sheriff’s Office offers to help Gaffney police with serial killer case
Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone said he has offered to help Gaffney police search for the killer of five people.
Boone said he has talked with Cherokee County Sheriff Bill Blanton about sending any resources needed to help capture a man they think is responsible for killing five people in Gaffney.
“We will deploy whatever resources that he needs,” Boone said. “(Whether it’s) manpower or specialized units like crime scene (units) ... they have their manpower working 18 hours a day and those guys need relief.
“You’ll find in this state that sheriffs are a very close-knit group of people and we try to take care of one another no matter what it is,” he said. “It’s really not uncommon or unusual for that to happen. “This guy needs to be brought to justice so (if there’s) anything we can do to help out, we’re going to do it.”
Boone said he would know Tuesday about what resources, if any, would be needed.

Anyway, I will start off with I have much respect for the FCSO as a whole. However, parts make up the whole (we’ll discuss that later). Now you bash Lisa and Ed Robinson while turning a blind eye to Florence County’s ‘less than’ finest. I see parts of the county deteriorating with FCSO presence. And chasing drug suspects behind Delmae Heights…that gets my blood boiling. Conducting more traffic patrols than crime patrols. We the people (some of the people) expect law enforcement to be held at higher standards. I will be awaiting your e-mail addy…thanks.
you know i think it was a great idea for Sheriff Boone to offer help to another agency. I think everyone knows by know that Sheriff Boone does what it takes to track a criminal down. He has proven it several times. And by him offering help to another agency in helping them catch a serial killer, im all for it. He could have possibly made it to Florence and killed citizens here….....As for the Sheriff being in the news alot that is what the news media wants. I dont think that he calls them. I think they call the sheriffs office and ask what is going on and they decide what is put on the news not Sheriff Boone. YOUR supporters Sheriff Boone are behind you in whatever you do, I think the poll numbers at the last election said it all. Thanks for all you and your deputys do!

Please forgive our fellow citz. that are bashing you. They have no idea about law enforcement. They don’t uderstand that there’s no “I” in “team.“ If we needed help with a killer on the run near “Lisa’s” home, or had killed one of her loveones, She would be glad to have your help along with more other agencies around SC. Please keep up the good work and don’t drop your standards for the selfesh ones that hide behind a screen name. Since they’re too scared to stand up for their ideas in person to a great man as you are and they hide behind a PC in their musky study. Why would anyone care whether Kenney Boone is in the news too much? Shouldn’t you be more concerned about the level of crime in the county? As long as it is down, who cares how much the guy is in the news? I don’t. As long as he and the FCSO are doing their jobs I don’t care if they are on the news every broadcast and the front page of the newspaper everyday.

I get real weary, too, of the disrespectful ways people have for those of you in authority. I knew you, any of you, would rush to help the likes of ‘lisa’ if she had a need. Bashing seems to be the favorite national pastime and that is regrettable.
Please keep up the good work. There are many who are grateful for the jobs that y’all do and I and my husband are included.
P.S. If Sheriff Kenny Boone was never in the news, then people would complain about him not being visible enough. Go figure.

Lisa, people have had issue(s) over you and your remarks and name calling for many, many months; not just the past month.
This is why I never try to go to another’s level with the passed insults and name calling.
These post show why there is so much violence because people can’t just disagree. They have to see who can dig the deepest.
Then there are people who cannot hear what another is trying to say.
You only mentioned 2 examples of Sheriff Boone being mentioned in the news in the past 2 months. Probably there have been more but it is no surprise to see your sheriff mentioned.
He is after all the sheriff, who we (some of us) voted into office and he should be a very public figure in his profession.
I hope you have a good evening and never have need of them. If you do have need of them, then I hope they show you the utmost respect and help you with your problem.

I was not saying that we would not come to “lisa”‘s rescue if she needed us, because you and I and all of Florence County knows that if there is a call for service, we come without hesitation, even if that means laying down our life for another, it is what we do. We would never, ever not respond to someone’s cry for help, even “lisa” I was just trying to make a point, that if she can’t stand the Sheriff’s Office, then why should she call us? She must know of a better way to fight crime, maybe it is Ed Robinson’s way,

Apparently you don’t read and/or watch all of the news, just what you want to. About three weeks ago, the Sheriff and Chief Shells stood shoulder to shoulder and signed a metro agreement to join together and fight crime in the city and county, jointly. It was covered by the news media. The main push this summer will be Operation Safe Summer. Sorry you didn’t catch it, it must not have been as important to you as ragging on Sheriff Boone and us, his Apple Dumpling Gang, that sacrifices daily for YOU. Yes we get paid to do it, but, if you think for one second that the pay is what is important, you are quite mistaken. I do not want praise for what I do, because it is my calling in life. Once again, the Sheriff’s door is open and so is mine. Please come see us and quit hiding behind a forum where you take advantage of the freedoms of this great Nation, to bash and name call those who would not think twice about running into a burning building to save you, even though you think we are a bunch of bumbling idiots apparently.

Alright .. Let me set the record straight.
I’ve have the utmost respect for our police department, sheriff’s department, fire department, water department, etc.
My point is .. please listen carefully .. I do not need to read about how great Kenney Boone is in the newspaper. In the past month, we have seen:
1) Kenney offer his help to the Gaffney’s police force. That’s great. That’s admirable.
It would be nice if he would publicly proclaim that he wanted to offer his help to Anson Shells in cleaning up the gang problem we have in Florence.
2) Kenney went to a funeral in Florida to honor the elderly man who was murdered at the Thunderbird Inn. That’s great! That’s admirable! I’m not quite sure how that helps the great area of Florence .. but it got Kenney’s name in the paper.
I’m not trashy and yes .. my parents loved me (and still do). Just because you do not agree me, does not make me a lesser person than you.
I stand behind any officer doing their job.
As far as Lisa goes… I wouldn’t stand behind her if her life depended on it. I agree with Wellnow 100%. When anything happens to you, do NOT call the police you hate. They should get “stuck in traffic” on the way to your 911 call. The sad thing is, they’d be there to protect you, faster than your own family, even though you hate them.
Lisa is also very trashy and rude. Her parents must be VERY proud of her! The comment about Wellnow’s spelling was uncalled for and shows that you were just angry because Wellnow’s comment completely PAWNED you.
Just remember this Lisa… there are a lot more people like me and there are of you.
