Florence councilman to conduct community meetings

Florence City Councilman Ed Robinson will lead two community meetings for his district next week.

The first will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 2 at Pentecostal Temple Church of God, 806 E. Pine St., Florence.

The second will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Weed & Seed.

Robinson said in a press release the meetings will serve to “unify our community, prioritize our concerns (and address) short- and long-range projections.

“This is our community and it goes in the direction we push it,” Robinson said in the release. “Let’s turn it around.

“To start, we will give away a refurbished computer to a lucky registered voter, so bring your registration card or register at the door,” he said.
