Faith-based business offers entrepreneur training event in Cheraw

He’s Worthy Publications and Products will hold a Divine Connection Network Meeting beginning with registration at 9:15 a.m. Dec. 12 at Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw.

Among others, participants attending Divine Connection Network meetings receive relevant information from qualified speakers, opportunities to network, a Northeastern Tech continuing education certificate and treasure packets.

Victoria S. Hughes will be speaking on how to file taxes and get money back. Hughes has 20 years of experience as an accountant and tax preparer.

The entrepreneur training will cover the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), tax delinquent solutions and others. A question and answer session will be provided to address concerns participants have.

He’s Worthy provides entrepreneur training through Divine Connection Network Meetings as a service for women throughout the Pee Dee who are current or aspiring entrepreneurs.

The goals are to provide women with an avenue to share what type of business they are in or what type of business they desire to establish and to connect them with veteran business owners and/or organizations as a resource to provide information, tips and support for starting a business and growing business.

“We complete, not compete,” founder Doreen Reid said. “We provide an avenue for current and aspiring business owners to come together and brain storm new innovative ideas that will stimulate economic growth for all.

“We provide information because information is power. We do not withhold information, but we look for it, gather it and share it.”

He’s Worthy is a faith-based family operated business that exists to provide inspirational literature, such as the book “He’s Worthy” written by Reid.

Reid has dedicated eight years to prayer, research, and writing “He’s Worthy,” a book that combines the word of God and poetry to bring about healing and deliverance to all readers. “He’s Worthy” is divided into sections and provides encouragement for non-believers, believers, women and men.

Reid, a former educator, owns and operates He’s Worthy Publications and Products, a faith-based family-operated business.

Praise-n-Faith Gospel Shop at 920 Chesterfield Highway in Cheraw will have a book signing featuring Reid and various local authors on Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Burry Bookstore at 130 W. Carolina Ave. in Hartsville will have a book signing featuring Reid on Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Johnson’s Family Restaurant and Grill on Second Street in Cheraw also will host a book signing Dec. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m.
