ESAB Welding and Cutting in Florence began experiencing electrical issues on Monday and is not operating as normal. As a result, some employees will not need to report to work Tuesday morning.

Eric Bingaman, Human Resources manager, says employees should follow these guidelines:

  • 1st shift, hourly-production assistants do not need to report to work on Tuesday.
  • 1st shift, salaried employees should report as normal.
  • 2nd shift and 24/7 blue team should report as normal.

Bingaman says workers do not know what caused the electrical issues or how it may impact ESAB. He says the issues hope to be resolved by late Tuesday morning or afternoon.
