Empty counters and debris littered floors were all thieves left behind in the press box when they broke in and took computers that operate the public address and scoreboard systems at Dillon Memorial Stadium Sept. 21.
DILLON – Thieves have football fans wondering what the score is after they took two computers key to enjoying games at Dillon Memorial Stadium.
According to police reports, Sept. 21 burglars took the computers that operated both the scoreboard and the public address systems at the stadium. Those computers were worth about $5,000, according to police officials.
The stadium’s press box was also damaged in the incident, according to police reports.
The computer theft came on the heels of a concession stand burglary at the stadium that resulted in the loss of “a lot of food,” Dillon Police Sgt. James Hayes said.
