Dillon County authorities search for burglary suspect

Authorities in Dillon County continue to search for a burglary suspect after a manhunt in the Lake View area.

Dillon County Sheriff’s Office officials say the suspect ran after they went to locate him on Thursday afternoon.

The search took place in the Oven Bottom community. As of 7:30 p.m., the man still had not been located.

About 10 officers from the Sheriff’s Office, the Lake View Police Department and the Dillon Police Department were involved in the hunt.

Sheriff’s Office officials say the manhunt is still ongoing, but has been scaled back while they try to figure out their next step.

In the interest of the investigation, they are not providing any information on the suspect at this time.
