The State Law Enforcement Division has released details about last week’s arrest of a Marlboro County sheriff’s deputy.
Erick Flowers, 26, of 105 High St., McColl is charged with misconduct in office as the result of a SLED investigation Marlboro County Sheriff Fred Knight requested in August.
Flowers is accused of trading his duty-issued shotgun for 12 methadone pills on or about Sept. 9, 2008.
It’s not clear how long Flowers had been employed by the sheriff’s office.
He is scheduled to have a bond hearing at 4 p.m. today in Richland County.

That’s sad that those holding position in office, suppose to be against illegal drugs and crime are part-takers in such crimes. These are the ones that should have the book thrown at them.Because they know to do good and don’t!
