Darlington Police Department receives award

The Darlington Police Department was recognized Thursday by the state as agency of the year for D.U.I. enforcement.  This is the fourth year in a row they’ve received this honor, which is based on the number of D.U.I. arrests and D.U.I. education within their community.  One of their officers was also honored. Clp. Michael Weatherford received D.U.I. Enforcement Officer of the Year for agencies between eleven and twenty-five officers.
