Darlington pair charged in rash of break-ins
A Darlington duo police say is responsible for a rash of break-ins were arrested Thursday on burglary charges, Darlington Police Capt. Danny Watson said.
Kenneth Richardson, 18, of 602 Tomara Lane is charged with first-degree burglary while Antwan Sharod Thompson, 20, of 2044 Anderson Road is charged with second-degree burglary, Darlington County Detention Center bookings reports show.
Police said the suspects committed all nine burglaries within the past six weeks. Most the of the break-ins happened during the daytime, Watson said.
The suspects took DVDs, computers, guns, televisions and jewelry, Watson said. Police recovered some of the items, but several others are still missing.
Richardson remains in custody at the jail in Darlington awaiting a bond hearing before a circuit court judge. Thompson also remains in custody under a $60,000 surety bond.
