A Darlington man who was captured by the U.S Marshals Task Force is charged in connection with a shooting that happened more than a year ago, Darlington County Sheriff’s Capt. Andy Locklair said.

Marvin Tayron Mack, 18, of 1652 Syracuse Community Road is charged with accessory before the fact to a felony, Locklair said.

Investigators said the suspect gave 17-year-old John Lamont Hudson the gun that was used to shoot a man on Dec. 17, 2007, during an altercation among a group of men.

Hudson was arrested previously and faces a charge of assault and battery with intent to kill, Locklair said.

Mack was released from the Darlington County jail after posting a $5,000 surety bond.
