The third suspect in a manhunt Monday was found off S.C. 38 South by Marlboro County Sheriff’s Department in Blenheim on Tuesday.

Joseph Lockemy, who is on probation in connection with previous pharmacy break-ins, is now in custody.

Two Scotland County, N.C., pharmacy burglary suspects Jeffrey Lynn Polson and Ronnie Adams Jr. were already in custody.

The series of events that lead up to the manhunt started Monday morning in Laurinburg, N.C., when police responded to an alarm at a pharmacy, Marlboro County Sheriff’s Lt. Jamie Seales said.

As officers arrived, a car left the drug store’s parking lot and fled, pursued by officers. That pursuit ended near Interstate 95 and S.C. 34 in southern Marlboro County, where three white men got out of the car and ran, Seales said.

A variety of law enforcement officials, tracking teams and helicopters from the Marlboro and Chesterfield county sheriff’s offices, Bennettsville and Laurinburg police departments, State Law Enforcement Division and the S.C. Department of Natural Resources were involved in the search, Seales said.
