3 suspects Tase victims, flee with man’s pants

Police are looking for three men who broke into a home Wednesday, Tased a man and woman, then fled the scene with the man’s pants, Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said.

The incident happened about 12:30a.m. on the 500 block of West Marion Street, Raines said.  Three men stormed into the home and shined lights into the faces of the victims, who were sleeping.

One of the suspects Tased the man several times and demanded to know where his money was. Another suspect picked up a lamp and hit the man in the head with it, Raines said. The female victim later told police one of the suspects Tased her twice during incident.

After the attack, the male victim told the suspects his money was in a wallet inside his pants.  The suspects grabbed the pants and fled the scene, Raines said.

Anyone with information on the suspects’ wherabouts is asked to call the police department at (843) 665-3191 or the state Crime Stoppers hotline at (888) CRIME SC (274-6372). Callers need not reveal their identities.
