Wreath auction benefits downtown art and entertainment in Conway

Create! Conway is holding a unique fundraiser that combines the holiday season with a mix of art.

A holiday wreath silent auction is being held this weekend in Conway.

Wreaths are on display at Bodega, a store on the corner of 3rd avenue and Main Street.

About a dozen local businesses have donated festive decorated wreaths.

Some even contain gifts certificates and gift cards.

Proceeds from the auction will be used to promote the arts and entertainment in downtown Conway.

“Well we want to raise money for the art projects and we have a mural project coming up in Conway. We have a big thing coming up in the spring. So we have several different events ongoing and we hope to raise a little bit of money to pay some of our musicians that play around town for free every artwalk,” said Barbara Streeter of create! Conway

Bidding will take place throughout this weekend and the winning bids will be announced at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
