Woman identified in Horry County deadly crash

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Horry County Thursday.

According to Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins, the crash happened around 11:20 a.m. on Hwy 915 just outside of Loris.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says the woman was Lori Small Pilot, 36, of Conway.

Collins said she was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, ran off the road and struck a ditch culvert.

Pilot died at the hospital.  Collins said she was not wearing a seatbelt.
