At a workshop Tuesday morning, Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes said the city is looking into some changes from some proposed ordinances concerning the rallies.

He could not give specific details because council discussed it during executive session; which was closed to the public and media.

He did say no decisions were made, nor were any votes taken.

Some people did express their opinions at this afternoon’s city council meeting.

Rhodes said a lot of the complaints he’s hearing are coming from outside the city limits and from other states.

“We want to be able to control our city and make sure we have the proper law in effect as far as obeying traffic laws; etcetera and so forth.  And also, we want to make sure our city is getting the respect from these visitors that they should be getting,“ Rhodes said.

Rhodes also said this is just another step in a long process.

He says the city will go through each ordinance individually and make changes officials say are necessary.
