Horry County Police are trying to find out how a car ended up in a pond early Tuesday morning.

Police are looking for the person they say left a car in a retention pond around 1:30 a.m. in front of the Kroger Shopping Center in the Carolina Forest area.

A dive team helped search the pond.  No one was inside the vehicle.

Police on the scene would not elaborate on what happened; only saying they are looking for the person responsible.

I think that someone tried to steal that car from somewhere. That’s why they put car into pond without find it. But already found it. Someone should call police for car is stolen.
