News 13 was the only news crew outside of today’s service for a Murrells Inlet woman who was found dead with her newlywed husband.

Horry County Deputy Coroner, Tamara Willard, says an autopsy revealed Hannah died from multiple gunshot wounds, and Richard died from a single gunshot wound.

Family and friends gathered to remember Hannah Lawhon, 30, and her family says Richard’s family attended as well.

Hannah’s father, David Jarvis, says he kicked in the door and found both Hannah and Richard dead.

Jarvis says, “I was the last person to be with them.  And it was on the 1st.  We brought a roast over, watched a little bit of games, we walked outside and Hannah gave me a big hug and told me she loved me and I told Richie I wasn’t going to hug him, but I loved him too.“

Jarvis also says he and his wife attended the services for Richard earlier in the week.

He says, “It’s something that happened and we still love each other, the families.“

Hannah’s step-mother, Janet Hanasinski adds, “They’re (Richard’s family) hurting in more so in some ways than we are, and our heart goes out to them too, they lost a son and a daughter under horrible circumstances.“

Friends of the couple say they just got married in October, and were high school sweethearts.

I really think on the website I would have waited until the end of this story, at least, to plug News 13.
