Myrtle Beach city council set to discuss bike rallies

Myrtle Beach city council members are scheduled to re-visit the issue over the May bike rallies.

City spokesman Mark Kruea said council is expected to talk about the proposals designed to curtail the May events at Tuesday’s workshop and council meeting.

Some of the ordinances include a curfew, helmet law, and closing bars at 2 a.m.

The workshop is at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall and the council meeting is at 2:00 p.m. inside council chambers.

There is only one way to describe the bike debate. IT’S THE ECONOMY,STUPID! I have lived here for 15 years and have always enjoyed the bikes.They bring in a ton of money and I’m sure there are less drastic solutions than doing away with them altogether. Try spacing them out and not have one on a holiday weekend. Common sense people.
