A local nursing home takes its residents back in time to the renaissance period.

It was all part of the annual Medieval Fest at Grand Strand Regional Healthcare.

Residents enjoyed medieval theatre and musical entertainment.

People who work at the facility and who live there dressed up as part of the event.

“The majority of the residents can’t go out and enjoy the shows, the theaters, so we’re like a family here. We like to bring it to them. So, we bring it to them. They enjoy it. They get to see it. They get to go out and do all the stuff here in the parking lot with us and it just brightens their day and they enjoy it,” said Bryan Holden, assistant activities director at Grand Strand Healthcare.

There was also a yard sale at the nursing home, which drew a big crowd of people from across the community.
