Cab companies offer free rides on New Year’s Eve

If you plan on ringing in the New Year’s holiday with a few drinks, two local cab companies want you to know they’re standing by to help you make it home safely.

Beachside Cab Company in Myrtle Beach is offering free sober rides. If you need a ride, simply ask your bartender to call, or call ahead of time. The number is 222-2222.

In Florence, Red Top Cab Service is also offering free rides. Their number is 346-9083.

With both services, drivers must surrender their keys to the taxi cab driver, who will return the keys once the partygoers are dropped off safe at home.
