Billy Smith had the perfect voice for a beach music disc jockey. No matter where I was, I knew Billy’s voice as soon as he spoke. This man was a legend and will be missed by many shaggers and other friends of beach music.See you on the other side of the river my friend.

The B-S’r will truly be missed,,,,I have always enjoyed his program and listen to him recall the early days of beach music and Myrtle Beach….being a vet, it gave me great pleasure to hear him close his program with “and God Bless America”....rest in peace Billy!!
