Large crowd expected at Georgetown County Council meeting Tuesday night
GEORGETOWN—According to Georgetown County Councilman Jerry Oakley a standing room only crowd is expected to appear at tonight’s county council meeting to talk about changes to the Wedgefield Golf Course and the idea of regulating biker vendors.
Oakley said that the most significant change will be regarding limitations on the number of vendors in order to facilitate small spaces. He said those changes are an effort to manage vendor location and operations in the interest of public safety and welfare. The changes he said will not affect any existing vendors.
There will be discussion regarding a zoning issue at Wedgefield Golf Course that could be converted to a residential development.
The meeting begins at 5:30pm Tuesday at county council office on Prince Street.
