Hurricane Golf Classic to be held Aug. 1

The Coastal South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross will host its 15th annual Hurricane Golf Classic on August 1, at True Blue Golf Club in Pawleys Island.

According to a news release from the Red Cross, the benefit tournament will begin with a 1 p.m. registration and lunch provided by McAlister’s Deli followed by a 2:30 p.m. shotgun start. Cost for the four-person Captain’s Choice tournament is $100 per player or a four-some with a hole sponsorship for $500.

There will be prizes for a hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin and longest drive. The tournament will be held rain or shine and all proceeds will benefit the local chapter of the American Red Cross, which serves Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties.
