Highway Patrol investigates deadly accident involving HCPD officer

Crash near Hwy 544 and SIngleton Ridge Road involving Horry County Police

CONWAY - The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate a deadly accident involving a Horry County Police officer outside Conway.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Hwy 544 and Singleton Ridge Road just outside Conway.

Horry County Fire Rescue spokesman Todd Cartner says one person died in the crash, and two others were injured, one critically.

Thursday night, the Horry County Coroner’s office said Timmy Fulmore, 42, of Orrum, NC died in the crash.

Fulmore was a corrections officer at the Tabor City Department of Corrections.

I am deeply saddened by this situation. I passed by the wreck right after it happened on my way to the hospital. It looked horrible. People were getting out of their cars to check on the people involved with the wreck. I am praying for the families involved with this tragic situation…May GOD be with you all!
