Horry County Police investigate strong arm robbery

The Horry County Police Department is investigating a strong armed robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon.
According to press release, officers responded to The Hillbilly Still and Grill at 3389 Hwy. 9 in Little River around 5:10 p.m. in reference to a robbery.
Police said a male victim reported that he was at the establishment checking the status of the ATM.
While walking back to his vehicle with the cash box, he was pushed from behind.
Once he hit the ground, he was struck in the arm.
The suspect then took the cash box containing approximately $1500 in U.S. Currency.
The suspect is described as a black male with a black hat, red shirt and blue jeans.
Police are asking anyone with information on the robbery to contact Detectives with the Horry County Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section at 915-5350.
