Conway Police investigate armed robbery

Conway Police responded to an armed robbery Monday where the suspects attacked a store employee.
According to a press release, officers responded to La Palma, 1404 Mill Pond Rd, Monday afternoon where the victim reported said he was getting ready to close up the store for the night and two men came into the store.
Once the were inside the store one of the men began a conversation with the victim and the other suspect came around the counter and placed a black handgun to the side of the victim’s head and demanded money.
The victim told police he opened up the cash register and one of the suspects reached over the counter and grabbed the cash from the register.
The second suspect then took personal items from the victim, hit him in the head with the gun and ordered him to the ground.
Both individuals then left the business in an unknown direction. The victim was treated by EMS on scene for minor injuries.
Both individuals are described as being black males approximately 25 years old with braided hair with one being 6’ 2” and weighing 180 pounds and the other being 5’5” and weighing 180 pounds.
Anyone with any information concerning the robbery and/ or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact the Conway Police Department.

Unfortunately it seems this description is getting pretty common with crimes committed in our area. That is with exception to the hairstyle. Normally we just hear what the “street vermin” were wearing or the color of the car they were in.
