Conway Police arrest 19 year old in armed robbery

Conway Police arrested a teen for an armed robbery Wednesday.
According to a press release, Keir Lamonte Johnson, 19, of Conway is charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a home on Boundary Street in the city limits of Conway in reference to a reported assault with a weapon.
The victim reported to police that while leaving her vehicle at her residence, a black male ran over from the area of Carolina Acres Apartments, struck her several times in the head with a small handgun, and robbed her.
The victim stated that as the subject grabbed for her pants pockets, she began yelling and screaming and the subject then fled the area.
The victim was taken to Conway Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
Johnson was positively identified as being the subject who assaulted and robbed the victim.
Johnson was located at his residence and arrested without incident.
Johnson appeared before Judge Andy Hendrick Wednesday morning for a bond hearing and received a $25,000 surety bond.
