Conway man arrested, charged with racing on Hwy 501

Conway Police arrested one person in connection with a racing incident over the weekend.

According to a press release, James Gerald Patrick, 25, of Conway is charged with racing another vehicle Sunday.

Patrick and another motorist were clocked traveling side by side on US 501, at a speed of 93 MPH in a 50 MPH zone. 

Officers were able to apprehend Patrick, but the other driver evaded police and escaped. 

Patrick was arrested and taken to the J Reuben Long Detention Center. 

Patrick received a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.
