I have my facts straight. Fortunately, not every journalist in this great country is afraid of the big bad government. You want the truth? Read the congressional record regarding the hearings after Waco. Read all of it with an open mind. By the way, the picture of the pirate flag[skull and crossbones on a black field] was published in more than one major magazine. That stinking agency was on the ropes , about to be disbanded when the Little Rock bombing resurrected it. Have you noticed how careful they have operated since that grisly show off? They are being watched and they know it.
scarecrow457 you really need to get your facts straight.
Reddog, a more suitable handle might be Parrot. Talk about brainwaswhed sheep. Believe in the easter bunny too? Listen to your self. Set themselves on fire. I suppose they also pumped in the gas that incenerated them also. The concentration was 400 times what is needed to disable a combat soldier. You probably will not hear this rebuttal as i doubt any site has the nerve to post it. I will say it anyway, because it needs saying. Did you also like the pirate flag ATF hoisted over the remains?
Since when is checking for DWI,drug possession, valid registration, license and insurance not in the best interest of the law abiding citizens og Horry county. How would you like it if one of your kin was run down by a drunken, high on drugs unlicensed, uninsursed and maybe illegal driver?
First off, I did not address you as uninformed, I said you were clueless. There is a difference. The police in Myrtle Beach are not killing anybody or sending them to Prisons because they don’t like them. The people that were written citations or arrested will have their day in court. None of them will be sent to poison showers, have biological testing done on them, lampshades made out of their skin or stood on the edge of a ditch and shot. Now I find it ironic that you use Waco as an example of what you believe the ATF and FBI were doing to violate citizens rights. Wasn’t that the action where The ATF went to serve a warrant and were shot at by the the peaceful religious following of the Messiah David Koresh, you know, the guy who was sleeping with under age girls and buying and selling illegal weapons. Isn’t that the same action where the FBI and ATF, after their agents were wounded, surrounded the compound and gave the people over thirty days to come out peacefully. But instead the followers decided to burn the place down and commit suicide. Like the peaceful little lambs that they were brainwashed to be. Good example.
Unless your grades in World History and American History were better than an A, you are not qualified to address me as uninformed. As for being safe and secure, i depend on ME first, police second. I am not against law and order, quite the reverse. However i will give a blank check to NO governmental agency to do as they see fit. Where were you when the atf and fbi agencies routinely violated citizens rights at will, culminating in the massacre at Waco. Asleep like the rest of the sheep?
There you go, our police force and Government are like Commies and Nazi’s. That is a pretty harsh statement from a clueless individual. I would suggest that you read you history books. It is a pretty sad situation when an Individual is more concerened about how criminals are treated, then the safety of the law abideing citizens.
Do you mean to tell me that the end justifies the means? Sounds like Karl Marx to me. The people in Europe were looking for a saviour [one size fits all]. They got one . Adolph Hitler. He ran a tight ship too. In the end most of the thugs were wearing uniforms. Pretty ones too. Be careful what you ask for, you might get it.
hmmm, wonder what you negative posters would think if a friend or family were hit by one of the “6 open containers” (by the way that’s alcohol in the containers), “6 insurance violations”, “1 possession of Marijuana”, or “2 driving under suspension” violators? Would you be bashing the police by screaming “where were they? Why were they able to be on the streets!“ You guys want these violators off the street but you complain when the police do their jobs. Yes, there are “teams” that do this that consist of officers from other districts. It’s called working together as a team to enforce some of the “zero tolerance”. As someone who was hit by a drunk driver many years ago (and I still suffer daily from the injuries) I’m very glad the police are doing these checkpoints. That’s less opportunites for these violaters to be on the streets…THANK YOU MEN AND WOMEN IN BLUE!!!!!
I have seen this happen in other communities, and I think it is great. This way one local Police force is not neglecting their jurisdiction by putting all their officers on one assignment in one small area, and not being able to respond to other parts of the city. And it is completely legal under the Mutual Aid laws. And it is about getting lawbreakers off the street. The City probably loses money on these road checks, so it is not about the bucks.
