Aynor medical services committee recognized

Horry County councilman Al Allen and state representative Liston Barfield presented plaques to the committee that was formed last year to find and bring medical services to Aynor.

The committee was recognized at a ceremony and dinner at the Hagood House.

Mayor Rob Taylor, who heads the committee, said the town is looking forward to the new medical facility that’s currently under construction at the intersection of Hickory Street and 11th Avenue.

The new facility, in conjunction with Marion Healthcare System, will give the people of Aynor another health care option.
 
The center will offer general family medicine for all ages.
