Police indentify man found dead in Aynor canal

AYNOR – Horry County Police have identified the man whose body was discovered in a canal Thursday night.

The victim was identified as Edmond Bryan Anderson of Aynor, who police say had been missing since Sunday.

The discovery under a bridge on Hughes Gasque Road between Aynor and Conway came just as Horry County Police officers were taking a missing persons report Anderson, Tony Hendrick, deputy Horry County Coroner, said.

Community members searching the area made the discovery and alerted officers, Hendrick said.

Police say no foul play is believed to be involved in the case, which they say is now considered closed.
