Atlantic Beach mayor to make court appearance Tuesday

Atlantic Beach Mayor Retha Pierce will appear in a Myrtle Beach court on Tuesday.

Pierce has four pending charges for resisting arrest, unlawful turning, trespassing, and public disorderly conduct.

Pierce will appear in central jury court for a roster hearing. A trial date will be set at the hearing.

Pierce was arrested and charged with one count of hit and run and leaving the scene of an accident in April. She also entered a plea of not guilty on charges that she was trespassing and being disorderly inside town hall in January.
