Schools are often challenged with students, staff, parents and community who must be kept safe in the school environment. It is in this large gathering of individuals that the potential for a pandemic can take place. Administrators, nurses and staff do all they can to maintain a healthy environment for students and others. However, students and staff continue to contract the flu and must utilize the needed precaution. The total prevention of the spread of the flu is virtually impossible due to the many ways and potential points of exposure that exists. Schools will continue to do the right and healthy procedures in securing a healthy environment.
As the flu season begins we ask that you adhere to the following:
Sick students must stay home.
Students who become sick at school will be sent home.
Healthy students and staff must always keep their hands clean, sneeze
into the mid arm not the hands.
Do not share any consumable food with others.
If fever persists, see your doctor.
Stay home for 24 hours after the fever is gone and take all medicines.
Change linen at home where appropriate.
Follow doctor’s or nurse’s advice on treatment for the flu.
Marion School District Two will implement plans and guidelines as outlined by DHEC. We ask our parents and staff to assist us in keeping our school safe.
et’s have a good and healthy year.
