Scranton Elementary students get a hands on lesson in investigations

Scranton Elementary School students received instruction on crime scene investigations from Florence County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigation Division, Investigator Jody Lynch recently. Students investigated a mock crime scene to determine who committed the crime. “This is allowing them to use problem solving and reasoning skills,” said Principal Angelia Scott explaining this could help students perform better in math and science as well as PACT. Lynch said this also gives students an opportunity to get to know law enforcement officers and become comfortable with them.
