‘Right Side’ shows to feature Marion County people

Recently, The Right Side with Armstrong Williams taped in Marion County several television segments of his show.

Williams is a Marion County native, writer, and television and radio talk show host. Locally, his shows are aired on WPDE TV 15 on Sunday mornings and nationally on 64 stations.

Area guests interviewed for Williams talk shows include the Rev. Georgeann Pringle, pastor of St. James A.M.E. Church, the Rev. Norman Gamble of Florence, Rodney Berry of Marion’s She Magazine, Dr. Neal Thigpen, Professor of Political Science at Francis Marion University and Gerard Edwards, principal of Wilson High School, Florence. Also, John Washington, a history teacher from Johnakin Middle School in Marion, and several high school students and their parents.

Students are Jalisa Washington, 16, a 10th grader from Marion High School and her parents James and Joyce Washington; Eric Favor Jr., 12, a sixth grader at Johnakin Middle School; and Gabrielle Favor, 15, a 10th grader at Marion High School, with her Parents Eric & Andrea Favor.

For one session, Williams met with family members. The segments discuss education, politics, the rearing of children and family ties, Williams said. The segments are airing this month.
Williams said he often interviews Marion County people for his television segments.
