PET OF THE WEEK: Dozier

Poor Dozier! Dozier has been with us since Sept. 22 and is still scared to come out of his igloo. He seems like a cool, older gentleman, and we are working with him to relax and gain self-confidence. Unfortunately, we do not know Dozier’s background or history. We do not know how he was treated in the past or the life he had prior to arriving at our shelter. Sadly, we are assuming that he was not well-cared for or loved because he is high heartworm positive. Dozier deserves a wonderful, loving, caring family who will treat him & love him the way he should have been all along. 

The Darlington County Humane Society, (843) 398-4402, is located off Highway 151, ½ mile west of Darlington Raceway. Turn beside the water tower. Shelter hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The shelter is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
